The safety stack · For every Hoppo rider

Twelve guarantees.
Always on.

Every Hoppo ride — school child, office commuter, Hop-In adult — runs on the same twelve monitors. The driver can't disable them. The operator must answer for them. The rider can audit them, anytime. A safety claim that's only as good as the driver's promise isn't a safety claim.

Live streaming

Glance in the cab. Anytime.

An interior camera streams to whichever app is on the other end — parent app, employee app, Hop-In rider app, or admin dashboard — the moment the ride begins. No need to call to ask if the cab is moving. Sound-on or sound-off, live.

The moment it matters · Parent "The cab was 8 minutes behind. I opened the app, saw Aarav in his seat reading. I didn't need to call anyone."

Two-way audio

Talk to the cab. The driver hears.

One tap calls into the cab speaker. The rider on the other end — parent, employee, Hop-In adult, or admin — can talk; driver and passenger talk back. The cab speaker is always on the line.

The moment it matters · Employee shuttle "The team WhatsApp said 'leaving 15 min late'. The HR coordinator dialled the cab, told the driver to wait one stop ahead. Done in 12 seconds, no phone numbers exchanged."

GPS tracking

Two-second refresh. Seven-day memory.

Every Hoppo cab streams its GPS twice every second. The trail is shown live in your app — and stored for seven days for any incident lookup or audit query, then anonymized.

The moment it matters · Hop-In adult rider "Driver claimed he took a longer route because of traffic. The GPS replay showed he didn't — the diversion added 4 km. Hoppo refunded the difference automatically."

Speed alerts & hard caps

40 km/h on school cabs. Enforced.

The cab tablet reads the GPS-derived speed and the driver's app blocks the route engine from sending instructions above the cab's mode limit. School Mode caps at 40–50 km/h. Adult Mode at 60–80. Any breach gets logged with timestamp and street, and parents see it inside ten seconds.

The moment it matters "Vikram's average speed was rising every Friday afternoon. The pattern showed up in the dashboard — and the next morning a supervisor was in the cab."
42 KM/H SCHOOL MODE · OK
05
Route deviation

Wandering off route triggers alerts. In eight seconds.

Because every Hoppo route is locked the night before, the system always knows where the cab should be. Any step more than 150 meters off pushes alerts to every relevant party — parents, the office HR dashboard, the school portal, the Hop-In rider — in eight seconds. The driver must record a reason before the alert clears.

The moment it matters · Employee shuttle "Cab took a left it shouldn't have. The HR coordinator's phone buzzed before the driver had reached the next signal — turned out the driver had spotted a shortcut for traffic, not malice. Logged, resolved."

06
Sudden braking events

Every harsh stop, logged.

Accelerometers in the cab tablet detect deceleration spikes over the standard threshold. Each one is timestamped, geo-tagged, and shown in a trend graph. Repeat patterns trigger a coaching session for the driver before they become a complaint.

The moment it matters "Three harsh brakes in a week, all near the same flyover ramp — turned out the driver was checking his phone there. Caught it before it became an incident."

Unexpected halt

Stopped > 3 minutes off-route? Admin gets pinged.

Stops at known points (subscriber pickups, school gate) are part of the locked plan. Any halt longer than three minutes away from those points triggers a check — the driver is asked to log a reason, and admin sees the same prompt.

The moment it matters "Cab stopped at a tea stall for four minutes. Driver answered the prompt; admin asked why. It didn't happen again."

Geo-fencing

Endpoints as polygons, not pins.

Pickup and drop locations — home, school gate, office tower, tuition centre, music academy, gym — are drawn as actual polygons on the map, not single points. Crossing the boundary is what we treat as "arrival" or "departure": both events get logged and pushed to every subscribed app within seconds.

The moment it matters · Adult Hop-In rider "My boss asked when I'd reach office. The Hop-In confirmation came the moment my cab crossed the office gate polygon — I forwarded it. Done."

Boarding alert

PIN tap = whoever needs to know, knows.

Every passenger — child, employee, Hop-In adult — gets a single-use PIN. Driver taps it on the cab tablet at pickup. The right notification fires: "Aarav boarded" to the parent, "Priya picked up" to HR, "Hop-In confirmed" to the rider. Five seconds. Closed loop.

Deboarding alert

"Arrived safely." Closes the trip.

Same mechanism at drop-off — the passenger's PIN is tapped and the trip closes. The right notification reaches whoever's been waiting: a parent, a manager, a spouse, the rider themselves. Trips with un-closed PINs raise an immediate flag at admin.

SOS chain

One press. Five phones ring.

An SOS — from any app (parent, employee, Hop-In rider, driver) — escalates in order: Hoppo admin on duty first, then the responsible secondary contact (school principal, HR manager, or pre-set emergency contact), then up to three personal contacts, then 112. Every step is timestamped. The calls don't stop until acknowledged.

The moment it matters · Driver "My cab broke down on the highway with three subscribers on board. SOS from the driver tablet reached admin in 6 seconds. Backup cab dispatched. Everyone was told before they even noticed something was wrong."

Recording & audit pack

Every trip. Hash-verified. Downloadable.

GPS log, in-cab video (incident-triggered or full opt-in), boarding records, driver-speed history, deviation events — all stored, all hash-verified for tamper-evidence. Exportable as a single audit PDF for whoever needs it: school's Education Department file, corporate HR compliance, an insurance claim, a personal incident review.

The moment it matters · Corporate fleet admin "Our auditor wanted three months of commute compliance reports. Pulled them in one PDF, signed by Hoppo, hash-verified. The audit took 20 minutes instead of three days."

Every safety feature in the world is moot if the wrong person is behind the wheel. This is what every Hoppo driver passes through — and the school principal sees the dossier before approval.
